Aaron Reza Back, Fife Wins Second Game

I would like to thank Cot Man for his question on the previous Blog entry. Aaron Reza is currently off the disabled list and has rejoined the team here in Salem. Aaron was in the lineup Sunday when the game was cancelled due to rain. Reza did play three games in the Gulf Coast League in preparation for his return to Salem getting two hits in nine plate appearances.

Last night was another great outing for starter Stephen Fife. He is one of the reasons why the Sox are tied for second in the Carolina League in ERA with a 3.76 ERA. Fife threw four strikeouts and allowed only one run in last night’s game against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. In his 22.2 innings pitched he has a 1.99 ERA which leads all Salem Sox starters.
